Mr. Barathi holds a Masters’ degree (LL.M.) from Tulane University, Louisiana, USA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) from Delhi University, India. He was admitted to the Bar Council of Delhi in the year 2002. Mr Barathi is also a registered Patent Attorney in India. Mr Barathi has been actively involved in handling Intellectual Property matters, Commercial & IP Litigation, Arbitration, Drafting and Negotiation of Contracts & Agreements. Mr Barathi has represented various multi-national clients in Delhi High Court, District Courts, National Company Law Tribunal, Trade Marks Registry, Intellectual Property Appellate Board (IPAB) and Arbitrations.

In the year 2007, Mr Barathi founded the law firm, GLA Law Offices with its office in New Delhi. Since then he has been heading the law firm with different teams for IP Prosecution & Opposition, Litigation & Arbitration, Drafting of Commercial Agreements & Contracts. Mr Barathi’s expertise in IP Litigation and Arbitration has proved effective in the enforcement of Intellectual Property of the clients represented by the firm. Mr Barathi has been successful in obtaining restraint orders and injunctions from the Courts along with with search & seizure orders. He has also represented the clients in Arbitration matters including commercial contracts.

Mr. Barathi has been representing GLA Law Offices at various international conferences including INTA, AIPPI, APAA, IBA. He has written several papers which got published in the INTA Bulletin and other Journals. He has also presented papers at various international conferences on IP Laws and its enforcement.

Mr Barathi is a member of Supreme Court Bar Association (of India), Delhi High Court Bar Association, Competition Commission Bar Association, International Trade Marks Association (INTA).
